Role Description:

·       Set the Exec agenda

·       Oversee all areas of the CU

·       Deal with disciplinary issues

·       Be prepared to take over any roles of the other exec members when they are unable to

          fulfil (e.g. book speakers when secretary is ill)

·       Ensure a vision statement for the CU is established

·       Organise all conference training events such as leader’s training & forum

·       Attend all meeting necessary within the union (e.g. council meetings directly relevant to

          the CU)

·       Create good relations between the CU and the SU (Students Union) exec

·       Adhere to the constitution

·       Hand in the constitution in the September of the new academic year (where necessary)

Vice President

Role Description:

·       Aid the president in his/her role

·       Stand in the place of the President where the President is unable to fulfil his/her duty (e.g.

          illness)

Secretary

Role Description:

·       Collect Post and deal with post accordingly or hand to appropriate exec member (e.g. cheques or envelopes labelled treasurer to the treasurer)

·        Email speakers & book speakers

·        Keep churches up to date with what’s going on with the CU (perhaps a newsletter)

·        Keep minutes

· Organise a CU House Party in conjunction with the Treasurer

Treasurer

Nominee: Joe Libby

Role Description:

·       Report to the exec how much is in the primary, secondary accounts and the CU has in total

·       Report a breakdown of CU finance expenditure and income for the week at each exec meeting

·       Report a breakdown of CU finance expenditure and income for the whole term (to be produced at the end of each term)

·       Keep accurate records at all times including receipts for everything

·       Authorise or decline all CU spending (in discussion with rest of exec)

·       Sign all expense claims forms

·       Refund all authorised expenses

·       Ask churches for money (twice a year – before fresher’s and before events week)

·       Encourage giving within the CU

· Organise a CU House Party in conjunction with the Secretary

Evangelism Co-ordinator

Role Description:

· Organise ongoing monthly evangelism

· Organise/Oversee Freshers' week and Events week plans

· Encourage relational evangelism within the CU

· Equip the CU for evangelism by way of training

Prayer and Worship Co-ordinator

· Organise CU prayer meetings, and host these meetings

· Organise worship for CU meetings, prayer & praise nights, and other CU events with praise

· Encourage an attitude of worship within the CU

· Encourage an attitude of prayer within the CU
