DIRECTIONS
We are having our reception at The KC Stadium, Hull. This is accessible by car (see above). For the wedding itself you will either have to park at the church or down Clough Road alongside the church.
GETTING TO ST JOHN'S CHURCH, NEWLAND, HU6 7PA
By Car
Entering Hull from the South and West via the M62 (which becomes the A63)
Follow the A63 under the Humber Bridge into the city. You will drive over a flyover. As you leave the flyover the road approaches a junction. Most of the traffic goes straight on, but you need to take the left slip road off, signposted as the A1079. Once on this road (Beverley Road), you want to stay on it for a long way. That means straight on at all the traffic lighted junctions.
So, you will pass, in this order: the railway station (on your left); a French motel called Campanile (on your right); Netto and Aldi (on your left); and a Lidl (on your left). At the Lidl supermarket, you come to a big traffic lighted junction. The junction also has a pub called The Haworth Arms and a shop called Sainsburys on it.
At THIS junction get into the right lane and turn right. The church is very soon on the left. There is parking on the road (Clough road) and in the car park just after the church.
Entering Hull from the North via the A1079
Follow the A1079 into the north of the city. At the major roundabout you should continue on the A1079, it’s the 3rd exit. You are on Beverly road. Follow this road past the Skoda garage (on your right), and Tescos (on your right). Keep going as the road changes from dual carriageway into single carriageway. You should go through one set of small traffic lights and then a considerably larger set on the junction. Sainsburys is on your left, Lidl supermarket is in front of you over to the right.
Get into the left lane and turn left. The church is very soon on the left. There is parking on the road (Clough road) and in the car park just after the church.
By Train
You’ll need to get to Hull Paragon station. From there you can travel by taxi, or get a bus in the city centre from the Bus Station (Nos. 20,27,28,28B, 29).
The Bus Station is recently refurbished and should be easily findable upon exiting the train station.
Once on the bus, ask for Clough Road. Get off after the Lidl supermarket, a big junction and the Haworth Arms pub. When you get off the bus, cross the road and walk back towards the junction you just passed. Turn left after Sainsburys. The church is on the left as you walk up Clough road.
